OIL ROUGING

The technique of oil rouging is a two step process. Firstly a pattern is transferred onto the surface of choice and then outlined using a technical pen to complete a detailed drawing.  The drawing is sprayed with a protective sealer, then oil paint is applied; intense colour starts at a given point and fades away to nothing on the outer edges. When completed, the painting is sprayed with sealer again to protect the work.
